Overview Until now all TVSS Devices basically worked the same way. They diverted over voltages to ground until the were destroyed or the connected fuses opened preventing explosions, fire and flying debris. The remaining surge voltages would then be redirected back to the line and connected equipment. The unique fuse-less design of the Vor-Capp module and its capability to withstand short-circuit currents allow direct installation on the bus bars, precluding the need to install additional fuses or interconnection wires, New technology eliminates direct fusing. The VORTEXX devices are U.L. Approved at U.L’s maximum testing capacity (200,000Amps). They can be installed directly to the buss bar with out fusing and will fail shorted, tripping the main breaker, protecting connected equipment. These TVSS components can be configured in any way to address your specific application.
